Our Grade 1 pupils enjoyed a delightful Tea Party where learning came to life through a fun and meaningful cultural experience. The activity gave students an opportunity to explore how people from different cultures enjoy tea, practice traditions, and show respect and good manners during shared moments.

As part of their learning, the students discovered that tea traditions can be different across cultures. They learned about customs such as how tea is served, how people interact during tea time, and the importance of being polite and respectful when sharing a meal or gathering with others.

During the Tea Party, the learners practiced using good manners, taking turns, sharing, listening, and caring for others. They also enjoyed interacting with their classmates while experiencing a special tea-time setting.

The activity connected strongly with their learning about culture and how cultural practices can shape people’s behavior.

Through observation, participation, and discussion, students began to understand that our traditions influence the way we act and interact with others.

Most importantly, the Tea Party reminded our young learners that shared experiences bring people together. It was not only a fun celebration but also a meaningful opportunity for students to appreciate culture, demonstrate respectful behavior, and create wonderful memories with their classmates.

With a cup of tea and a shared moment, a beautiful lesson about culture and connection indeed steeped in!
