HCHS kindergartners cap off their preschool years

Forty-nine students from Kinder Faithfulness, Gentleness and Goodness officially completed their preschool journey in the Kinder Moving Up Ceremony held last May 30 at the Chong Pai Hun Theater Hall.

The ceremony was graced with the presence of Ptr. Sharon Sandra Ngo, HCHS Alumna from Batch Exquisite 1995. Ptr. Ngo stressed the importance of being grounded in Jesus Christ, drawing her message from Colossians 2:7. Through singing children’s Bible songs, she also shared the ways to grow deeper in Christ: read the Bible and pray every day. Then, she reminded the parents of their responsibility to direct their children to the right path. “Let’s remember to guide our children to love Jesus more. It’s the best investment that we will be giving to them,” Ptr. Ngo said.

Upon receiving their certificate of completion, select students from Kinder completers addressed the audience in English and Chinese. Their message centered on thanking their parents and teachers for guiding and rejoicing with them in every step of their journey. Through the gift-giving segment, the completers handed the tokens of gratitude they prepared for their parents.

The Kinder Moving Up Ceremony closed with the message of School Principal Dr. Angeline Tan, where she explained the meaning of moving up for the young learners: saying goodbye to kindergarten and saying hello to grade school. Dr. Tan also expressed her gratitude to the families, teachers, and founders of the school who have supported the growth of the HCHS students. She then congratulated the completers and reiterated the reminders of Ptr. Ngo on how to grow deeply in Jesus Christ.
