The theme of Unit 5 is: “How the World Works”, it is an inquiry in science about how materials behave, what the states of matter are, why properties move the way they do, and how materials differ with one another.
The students were able to demonstrate their understanding about the unit by creating an output or a product using recycled materials. They discovered ways of manipulating the materials for a new purpose using fabrics or cloths, old or used, and disposable materials like bottles, boxes, papers, straws, plastics etc. They also described each property of the materials they used and explained why they chose the materials to recycle into a new purpose.
