Grade nine class hosts first virtual Christmas party

Sophia David, grade nine class president, hosted another first Christmas party via zoom, which happened on December 18, 2020 at 8 a.m.

The students celebrated the virtual event with an exciting program like the online games, Kahoot and 4 Pics 1 Word video, pre–recorded performances which the students themselves prepared, and other surprises. Students shared all activities via zoom app for the class to enjoy watching.

The class president delivered her short message in their class, with a title, “What do you bring to JESUS?” to emphasize the true meaning of Christmas.  She reported, “I felt quite sad that we weren’t able to celebrate as a batch physically, but I am thankful that because of modern technology, there was still a way for us to have a party. It would actually be an interesting story to tell the future generations.”

According to the students, the party was enjoyable despite the challenges they faced. One of the grade nine students said, “The party was unexpectedly good. I honestly didn’t expect it to be that fun.” Another student told, “It was honestly quite a fun experience, to say the least.”

Despite the challenge of connecting online with her classmates, the grade 9 students enjoyed the virtual Christmas party. Students remember this event as one of the most memorable and unique Christmas events they have ever experienced.
