MYP Essay Writing Contest

MYP Essay Writing Contest

Words came alive as students from Year 3 to Year 5 of the Middle Years Programme took part in the Essay Writing Competition hosted by the Language and Literature Department last September 25, 2025. The event aimed to encourage the learners to express their ideas on important issues while strengthening their command of the English Language.

Participants from various grade levels took a challenge to write essays on different topics that reflected their knowledge on the subject matter, as well as their voice as writers. They showcased how language and words can inspire, inform, and impact society.

Outstanding young writers, including Elise Summer Samson of Year 3, Wyanne Madelaine Fenix of Year 4, and Katriel Nina Ang of Year 5, were acknowledged in the awarding ceremony.

Through this competition, the school celebrates the power of words and the growing confidence of our budding writers who contribute to the school community and use their pens for a purpose.
