HCHS joins nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill
As per NDRRMC Memo 15 s. 2026, HCHS participated in the Quarter 1 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held last March 12.
At exactly 3:30 p.m., the school bell rang simultaneously with the emergency sirens of other schools and government agencies across the country. The alarms signaled Hopeans to wear their safety helmets and to execute the Duck, Cover, Hold protocol. Securing unobstructed doors and exits was also part of the safety procedures practiced. The school community, then, gathered in the open quadrangle, and HS Administrative Supervisor Mr. Andres Ilocto gave reminders on other safety and evacuation measures. School Principal Dr. Angeline Tan also gave a message, addressing everyone’s cooperation in the drill.
