HCHS Emergency Meeting and Earthquake Drill
The Philippines recently faced frequent earthquakes all over the country. These challenging times remind us of the importance of being prepared. As part of our commitment to provide a disaster-resilient learning environment, HCHS conducted an emergency meeting with faculty and staff October 10, followed by a school-wide earthquake drill on October 15 to reorient the community about the earthquake response protocols.
This drill is more than just a safety exercise—it is an act of stewardship that ensures every member of our school community is protected and informed. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and prepared even outside the school. Pack emergency bags; discuss emergency procedures with your families, and pray for God’s intervention amidst impending danger. We believe that while the ground may shake, our faith in God remains firm. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Let us also continue to pray for the victims of the previous quakes, supporting one another in faith and resilience.
