The HCHS community takes safety seriously. As a commitment to this, the school conducted another earthquake drill last Thursday, November 6.
Taking extra precautions, the school prepared safety helmets that the students should wear in emergencies. This serves as another layer of protection that can minimize the risk of accidents. Through the drill, the students were able to practice wearing the helmets immediately in case of an emergency.

In previous drills, the school admins and staff noticed that heavy doors could pose a hazard for evacuation. To prevent these doors from swinging and shutting unexpectedly, putting up chairs in place was practiced as part of the safety procedures. Other emergency procedures were also reinforced during the drill and the debriefing. Some barangay officials and other community members around the school also participated in the drill to give reminders about the evacuation measures and areas.
