Hope Spikers top leagues

Hope Christian High School (HCHS) takes pride in her athletes and it is for good reasons. They train and work hard each day, persevering to achieve honor  for their school. Among our athletes, the Hope volleyball varsity girls has accomplished much and is continually competing against other schools for the much desired win.

Having competed in the Milo Little Olympics, they won the championship title. This is only the start, since they are currently participating in three other volleyball leagues - The League of Southern Manila School (LSMS), Filipino Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) and the Metropolitan School Sports Organization (MSSO).

Having no losses in the LSMS this year, the volleyball girls remain undefeated. They’ve competed against San Pedro Relocation Center National High School and Imus Institute last August 27, 2011. Having won three out of five sets last September 3 in the same event, HCHS has again won against Elizabeth Seton School with three out of five sets. But there was a thriller against De La Salle Zobel with close scores, reaching the fifth set.

The team is also currently in the FCAAF. Last August 28, they defeated Immaculate Conception Academy by sweeping the first three sets. The following day has not been any less successful having won against Phil. Pasay Chung Hua Academy, Philadelphia School and Phil. Academy of Sakya wherein all sets were won. The last match on the said event was on August 30, against Grace Christian Academy wherein another win was achieved with the same results.

Already involved in the above events, the volleyball varsity team is competing in yet another event the MSSO. Their latest match was on September 4, against Notre Dame and Paco Catholic School. They won in both matches winning in the first two out of three sets.

All said events are still ongoing, but the results are promising and truly show that they are on top of their game.
