In line for the English Week’s celebration, selected students performed a road show entitled “The Book Brigade”. Actors went all out as they clothed themselves with dazzling dresses and lovely animal costumes. The play was really astounding; they gave off a good show even with little practice.
The cast went door to door along the school campus. With high spirits and confidence, the actors performed. One after another, rooms were filled with gaiety and laughter.
The narrative is focused on well known children’s books characters: Cinderella, Mama Bear, Calico Cat, Chicken Little, Elephant’s Child, Red Hen, Ugly Duckling, Bailey and Little Miss Muffet, trying to captivate children to read their stories, exclaiming that they can go around the world and kill boredom by just reading books.
Performers had taken the necessary actions for ensuring the success of the show. All of the participants are from the Speech and Theater Club of our school. Mrs. Dina Magno, high school English consultant, and Mr. Kevin Dumalay, assistant supervisor of the Speech and Theater Club, were the directors.
