United Nations Celebration 2010

United Nation Celebration - Hope Christian High School

Vibrant colours surrounded our campus as the preschool and early grade pupils celebrated the U.N. Day on November 5, 2010. The event, which is celebrated annually, showcases the various culture of different countries through a simple yet festive parade along the streets of Benavidez and Masangkay where the preschool and early grade pupils modeled the iconic outfits of countries such as the United Kingdom, Egypt, Japan, and South Korea to name a few. The celebration then continued to its main venue, the Hope Theatre Hall. The assembly was treated to a performance by Hope Handmimers with their rendition of “You’ll Be in My Heart” whose message is about world peace. They were followed by Ms. Teresa Debuque, United Nations Information Center officer, who shared the different agencies of the United Nations and its various purposes and the numerous humanitarian plans that are currently in action. The joyous celebration continued with numerous special numbers giving recognition to various countries like the Philippines, USA, Mexico, and China.

The event was hosted by Teacher Nikki of the Preschool department and Sir Paolo of the I.T. department as Disney’s Minnie MouseTM and PlutoTM respectively. The event concluded with a grand finale song entitled, “We’ve Got to Love”.
